About Arnie

Councillor Arnie Warner and his family Arnie Warner was first elected to Council in November, 2000 and was returned by decisive margins in the Municipal Elections of 2003 and 2006. He is now serving on his third term of Council. 

Arnie has been a resident of Richmond Hill and Ward 2 for 35 years along with his wife, Kathy who works as an Emergency Department Team Leader at York Central Hospital. They are the parents of two adult children, Erin and Chris, who were both actively involved in swimming, baseball, and softball, and represented Richmond Hill several times at provincial and national competitions.

Following his election in 2000, he retired from a 30-year career with the Ontario Public Service, having held a number of responsible senior management positions.

Arnie was the recipient of the 2000 Outstanding Citizen Award from the Town of Richmond Hill.
