The Town of Richmond Hill, as part of the continuing program to improve municipal infrastructure, will be transferring water services from the existing 150mm cast iron watermain to the new 250mm PVC watermain on Centre Street East (Contract TE04 09) from Church Street to 250m east of Pugsley Avenue. Construction will commence during the week of May 4, 2009, with completion by September of this year.
The work is being undertaken by the Town's contractor, Direct Underground Inc., and will include the disconnection and reconnection of existing services, the replacement of hydrants and the installation of new main valves. The construction will result in some lane reductions on the affected streets.
You will receive advance notification of the minor disruption in water service that will occasionally be necessary during the watermain construction. The Town will make every effort to minimize the inconvenience during construction.

Furthermore, there may be some disruption of postal delivery during the construction. Please contact your local post office in this regard.
