WHO? Town of Richmond Hill Mayor Dave Barrow and Members of Council,
together with residents of all ages and abilities
WHAT? Will be participating in a fun-filled day at the Crosby Park Family Fall Fair
WHERE? At Crosby Park (Northeast corner of Crosby Avenue and Newkirk Road
behind Centennial Pool)
WHEN? On Saturday, September 12, 2009, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. (rain or shine)
WHY? The Crosby Park Family Fall Fair is an annual event that celebrates
Richmond Hill's first-of-its-kind inclusive park. Residents and their families
will be able to spend the day outdoors while enjoying a variety of fun-filled
activities, including music and dance performances, hot air balloon rides
(weather permitting), inflatable bouncy castles and slides, children's games
and storytelling, face painting, heritage displays, an "olde tyme" corn roast, a
barbecue lunch, and more!
Crosby Park has been designed especially for inclusive recreation. Everyone,
from the able-bodied and physically challenged to those with sensory and
cognitive impairments, and even seniors, can enjoy the simple pleasures of
recreation at this special park and outdoor play area.
