Season's Greetings!
It's hard to believe that the festive season is here but all the snow we have already received confirms it is indeed that time of the year again. Permit me to start off this newsletter by wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy Chanukah from the Warner Family.

Crosby Park Update
Our exciting project to re-vamp Crosby Park is well underway and ahead of schedule. By next Summer, every aspect of this park will be accessible to people of all ages and all abilities. The largest playground structure in Town includes ramps and handrails so that children with mobility restrictions can easily access and play on it. The Centennial Pool parking lot and entrance way has been completely re-built. Next Summer, the outdoor children's splash pad will open and be accessible to children in wheelchairs and walkers. There are wide walkways and seating areas as well as new play areas and swing sets. The facilities should all be ready for next Summer and we are already planning a grand re-opening celebration for the end of Summer '08. The Crosby Park re-development project is funded in part by a community fundraising effort in partnership with the Richmond Hill Mobility Foundation. I am proud to announce that we have exceeded our original fundraising target and are able to plan additional features and amenities for the park. Corporate and individual donations are still welcome. You can even join the "Walk of Friends" by purchasing a tree for either $50.00 or $100.00. For sponsorship information, please contact my office or the Richmond Hill Mobility Foundation office at 905-508-4000.

Green BinsGreen Bins - A Real Success!!!
Thank you for continuing to support the Town's efforts to reduce the amount of waste which is trucked to landfill sites. Our waste diversion rates are already approaching our targets. For information on the green bin program as well as the other waste management processes we use in Richmond Hill, please refer to your 2008 Annual Waste Management calendar which will be delivered to every home in Richmond Hill by year's end. And please follow the rules by putting your garbage out on the correct day. Keeping our Town clean is expensive for all of us and there are by-laws in place to enforce the Town standards. If you do not receive your 2008 calendar, please call 905-884-8013 or contact my office and we will be happy to send one to you.

Major Mackenzie Dr. Water Main Replacement
This Region of York project is finally coming to an end. The traffic delays and lane closures as the project advanced from Leslie St. to Newkirk Rd. along Major Mackenzie Dr. will soon be a thing of the past. The replacement of the sidewalk on Sussex Ave., north of Major Mackenzie Drive, was part of this project.

Thanks everyone for your patience!!!

TridelTridel
The Tridel project is underway and in keeping with commitments made to nearby residents, the Town has enforced the provision that the majority of heavy construction traffic to and from the site be via Yonge St. One lane of Yonge St. on the east side will remain closed till next Spring for safety reasons due to the proximity of the excavation to the edge of the road.

Crosby Heights Public School
Due to the reconstruction of the Town owned parking lot on the west side of the school, traffic congestion has occurred at peak times for the school. Please be careful when dropping off or picking up your child or alternatively, please use the Neal Dr. entrance to the school.

Feliz NavidadMontessori School Project - Elgin Mills Rd. and Edward Ave.
A revised proposal to re-develop the former Enbridge site to house a Montessori High School is proceeding. Details on the new site plan can be found on my web-site as well as a reporting letter to area residents. The Town will be requesting that improvements be made to the intersection of Edward Ave. and Elgin Mills Rd. to improve traffic flows as part of the site plan approval process.
